1. Read Owner's Manual

2. Make sure you have correct shoe for the size of rail you are cutting. Follow clamping procedure.

3. Use only Trak-Star Twister Bits.

4. Always use cutting fluid - Not Water or Windshield Washer Fluid!

5. Enter rail cutting slowly, then continue with good speed.

6. If drill seems underpowered check:

• Gas drill: use fresh unleaded gas and replace filters if dirty. Also check spark plug and oil level daily. Fill with high grade 10w-30 oil.
  
• Hydraulic drill: check hydraulic system for correct flow rate.
  
• Electric drill: use proper size of extension cord and do not run on a very long extension cord.
  

7. Maintain drill by keeping it clean. Checking regularly. On older drill models adjust gib slide system when needed. This is meant to wear and will need to be adjusted a few times a year.
